June 2024 Update
Recall
• Select Tests for Monitoring - there are several new options – the ability to configure 2 weekly monitoring and various new tests. DEXA has been added but may currently be greyed out for your practice. If you want to start using it, let us know. It would help if you made sure some batch reports are set up so that no patients are missed.
• Training Resources - We’re continuing to grow our help and support resources. We’ve also made a change so that if you can find resources using the “Search Features” box…
• Localisation - We continue to increase the range of options available to localise for your practice. To see all that’s available, go to Clinical Reporting / Welby Innovate Recall / Localisation
• There are more options available to determine conditions you may or may not want to monitor, e.g. Colitis, Crohn’s, MGUS, etc.
• Some new options linked to specific bloods – e.g., only do ALT instead of full LFTs if being taken for statin monitoring
• Alcohol - if you're using questionnaires, many patients will be telling us their alcohol intake. The system can now follow that up with a full audit C if their alcohol intake is raised. That audit C can be followed up as necessary too. Reports are available in the folder Welby Innovate Recall / Monitored Alcohol Consumption
• Recall Overview – there are options on the “Manage Recall” to record particular tests that have been declined or can’t be carried out: If these have been selected, that information will then appear on the Recall Overview
• *Coming Soon* - A new system for arranging follow-up up e.g. if you want a patient to have a respiratory review in 3m, or see GP in 2m. If any practice would like to be an early adopter/tester for this, do get in touch.
Prescribing
• AF – CHADSVASC – can now prompt staff to do CHADSCVASC when patients attend annual reviews. The protocol will work out if any action is needed and can either send a task, or just add to a list for a clinician to review. Let us know if you'd like that activated for your practice.
• Childhood Imms – Invite reports which include Pertussis, Baby, 1 year and Pre-School Boosters. We can also provide a staff prompt to book those in if that would be helpful. Reports are available under Welby Innovate Prescribing / 3 Childhood Imms
• High-Risk Drug Checks – we’ve added extra medications and checks in to make the process even safer and more robust.
• KPIs - there's a new folder Welby Innovate Prescribing / KPIs - this displays a picture of how you're using the system, the impact its having and the work that needs doing. If there's other data you'd like to see here, let us know.
• *Coming Soon* - Flu - we are planning to provide flu invite reports and a system for administering flu vaccines. You can see an old version of this here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHrqxO1e2po
Pathology
• Messages to patients - we've been developing more tailored messages to let patients know the outcome of their results and any actions that may be required. We can enable these to be sent automatically for your practice - just let us know.
• *Coming Soon* - ability to automatically repeat any tests that are filed as needs "Repeating" - let us know if you'd like to be involved in testing this • *Coming Soon* - messages & questionnaire to support the weight loss DES. Our systems can already auto-calculate BMI. If you want, it will be able to message patients who've submitted their weight via a questionnaire to let them know their BMI and ask if patients would like to be referred for support to lose weight where appropriate.
Practices with Branch Sites - A forthcoming change to letters - the letter templates to display the main surgery address rather than the branch address. This is because some practices have patients with different usual branch sites but wouldn't ever use them on letters. If this is an issue for you, please let us know ASAP
