Attached is the new recall planner. To make it work better for you, there are more configuration options. These are now on the first page. The second page shows your weekly pattern at the top and provides a separate space to record what you’ve done below. There’s also a list of all the main folders, what’s in them and how often we’d recommend using them.
For those who missed the webinars last week, here are the recordings…

Recall Updates (Webinar) - Apr 2026.mp4
Key Updates
- Background updates
- reflect new QOF rules
- removal of various localisations that were little used (affected practices were all pre-warned)
- ACQ exclusions to avoid sending full ACQs to patients who should be switched to MART/AIR regime - When are Asthma Control Questionnaires sent?
- Option to review patients who may be frail and on relevant QOF registers - Frailty Status
- Message pre-sets have been updated to be shorter and easier to read in keeping with NHS guidance - How we write – NHS digital service manual
- Follow up – this now has its own folder and we’ve split the invites into three categories:
- 1st invite
- Reminder invites that don’t need review
- Reminder invites that should be reviewed (e.g. because a coded face-to-face consultation with a GP has taken place and so the follow up may have been discussed)
- Invite changes
- We’ve introduced reports with suggestions to send a letter attachment. Here’s how to do that - https://youtu.be/g6v_pT2peJs?si=RKBKXwhA6DqVdzLo
- There are far more options for sending appointment links to patients to reflect the many different ways we all work
- Change in split between what was QOF and Best Practices vs QOF only to All vs QOF & Local Opt Ins - What's the difference between "All" and "QOF and Opts In Only"?
- Practices can now select cohorts they’d like to always include alongside QOF only invites. If you always send invites to “All” patients, this isn’t needed. Current options:
- CKD
- Meds Requiring Annual Monitoring
- Thyroid Condition/Meds
- If you want any of these enabling for your practice, just email us and we’ll add that in – support@welbyinnovate.co.uk. If there are others you think would be helpful, let us know.

With these changes, we’d really appreciate you running the reports in the folder “9 System Checks”, and let us know if they flag any issues. These reports are particularly useful to run:

They’re checking the setup of appointment links is correct. We’ve run these in a lot of practices already, but since each practice has its own setup, there may be an issue that affects only your practice.
As ever, please let us know if you have any issues or anything you need help with - Submit a ticket : Welby Innovate. We’ve paused onboarding any brand-new practices for the whole of April so we can focus on these updates and support you all at the start of the new QOF year.
