Recall Refresh
- This week, we’re preparing to update the system for the start of the new QOF year. Key updates planned:
- Report folders and a more comprehensive Recall Planner
- Improved use of appointment links and bulk sending letters to patients
- Updates to reflect the changes to QOF rules from 1 April
- Recall Reports will be undergoing maintenance on Monday & Tuesday next week (30th and 31st). We’ll be making changes live, updating reports and moving things around. Please don’t try to use invite reports in the Recall folders on these days, as they will be in a state of flux.
- Webinars – we’ve decided to provide two slightly different webinars on Wednesday 1st April:
- For new practices who aren’t familiar with our system - 10:00-11:30 - Webinar - Intro to Recall Invites | Meeting-Join | Microsoft Teams
- For well-established practices who just want to know what’s changed – 13:00-14:00 - Webinar - Recall Updates / New QOF year | Meeting-Join | Microsoft Teams
- Both will be recorded and give space for questions
Vaccine Consent
- We’ve completed applying our new vaccine consent model to Spring Covid invites
- This article explains more - How do I manage consent for vaccinations? : Welby Innovate
- We’ll be rolling out this approach to other vaccines over the next few months
Issues
- Coding Max tolerated for QOF - Practice coding habits vary considerably in this regard. Previously, coding this for a diabetic would remove patients from reports to review HbA1cs for the QOF year it was added in. We’ve made a change so this only blocks reviewing the most recent HbA1c. We think this is safer as there may still be actions to take. If you want to review patients who may not have been reviewed earlier in the QOF year, you can use this report in the Pathology folder:

Max tolerated Anti-Hypertensive therapy works in a similar way – it only clears the last average BP from needing review
Max tolerated Lipid Lowering therapy works a little differently – it will clear the latest Lipids, and block from sending titration offers for the next 9m and the rest of the current QOF year
- Patients being sent multiple pre-review questionnaires – we’ve come across a couple of situations where a patient could have been sent multiple questionnaires and not moved on to the main invite if they failed to reply. We’ve changed the setup now to limit it to sending pre-review questionnaires twice to avoid unnecessary delay until the main annual review invite. Its possible a few patients may have been impacted and not invited in this QOF year. If you want to review them, you can use these reports in the Recall folder:

Look forward to seeing lots of you next week and supporting with you in 2026/27!
