When patients are invited for annual reviews, the system will generally use generic LTC invite codes rather than disease-specific codes. The advantage of this is that the QOF alerts remain on the home screen, which encourages opportunistic intervention.
However, there comes a point when it is necessary to code these invites so that non-responders are properly accounted for in QOF. This is how to do it:
1) Navigate to Clinicial Reporting / Welby Innovate Recall / QOF Code Invites:
2) For each report labelled “1) BULK ADD INVITE codes: Asthma 1st = 9OJ4. in month 1st LTC letter sent” or similar, breakdown by Read code and Event Month:
3) For each line, right click, select action, then add read code:
4) In the read code box, type in the code in the name of the report, “9OJ4.”. Put the date as the first of the month the invite was sent. You may also want to add some text to explain why you’re bulk adding this code. It should look something like this:
5) Repeat for each line in the break down, selecting the data as the 1st of the relevant month.
6) Repeat this for all the reports in the folder that start with "1) BULK ADD INVITE codes:" unless all QOF indicators have already been achieved for that register.
