Over the last few weeks, we’ve been working on updates to our Prescribing Module. We went through these at our webinar earlier in the week. Here’s a link to the recording – Prescribing Updates Feb 2026.mp4 – perfect Saturday viewing if you’re not following the Six Nations!
We had hoped to get a finalised Prescribing Planner spreadsheet out to you all by the end of the week. However, following a review by our Clinical Governance Committee, we decided there was more work to be done, principally in supporting the management of patients who report symptoms requiring urgent review. The two areas of particular concern are:
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding reported on a HRT or Vaginal Oestrogen HRT questionnaire
- Suicidal thoughts on the Depression Review questionnaire
In both these cases, patients are advised in the questionnaire itself to arrange urgent review. We’ve also always provided reports to identify these patients, but we felt we needed to make this clearer and support the management of these patients.
To that end, we’ve added a new report which we recommend is ran and actioned daily by admin staff if you’re using these questionnaires:
We’re also integrating these patients with our follow up system, in the same way we’ve done for Pathology outcomes that require an appointment - How do I arrange a follow up? : Welby Innovate.
We’re aiming to provide the planner next week, along with more detailed release notes.
