Within the Welby Innovate system we have a number of automated information messages that can be sent to your patients regarding their medication. If you opt into this feature, it will be active for all medications listed below.

How Automation works for your practice
There are automated messages set up for each of these medications and a brief overview of what is included in those messages:
- Amiodarone - Signpost to https://patient.info/medicine/amiodarone-for-irregular-heartbeats-cordarone-x
- Hydrochlorothiazide - Potential risks, advice and a link to patient information leaflet.
- SGLT2s - Signpost to https://guidelines.ukkidney.org/patient-information-leaflets/ and https://trenddiabetes.online/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/A5_Genital_TREND.pdf if Diabetic. Codes side effects about fouriers gangrene and Ketoacidosis.
- DAMN - Sick day rules - note these will only send if the protocol can identify the name of the medication that the patient it on.
- Nitrofurantoin - Potential risks including uncommon symptoms that will need urgent review,
- Teratogenic drugs
- Monafinil - Pregnancy/planned pregnancy risk and patient information leaflet regarding contraception.
- Pregabalin - Pregnancy/planned pregnancy risk and patient information leaflet regarding contraception.
- Carbimazole - Pregnancy/planned pregnancy risk and patient information leaflet regarding contraception.
- Valproate Female - Pregnancy/planned pregnancy risk and patient information leaflet regarding contraception.
- Valproate Male - Potential risk including effects to sperm and patient information leaflet
Automated messages will only send when these medications are issued. If initiating medication, for some, you will receive a prompt asking if you would like to send the message at that point.
