We’re making progress on our development of the updated supply restriction pathway that your practice has agreed to beta test.
Key changes so far…
- If a patient hasn’t recently been invited, protocols will advise inviting rather than restricting access to medication, e.g.

- If supply restriction should be considered and a task goes to a prescriber, it will advise using our new Supply Restriction Template by clicking on this icon from under patient status alerts:
The new template displays reasons for restriction and has options to record notes and update the script duration, including recording if the patient has a long term supply restriction. Here’s an example:

The icon is only available on patients where a current restriction appears to be in place, or there’s a reason to consider it.
Further developments planned:
- If a patient has been on weekly scripts for 2 weeks, it will advise tasking a prescriber to review
- These same principles will apply to a high priority medication review that’s been requested, and to an annual review.
You may notice some changes in protocols / pop-ups. They should all be self-explanatory but let us know if any issues and any other feedback on these changes. Thanks
