You can set up a recall for investigations for patients using either our "Request one-off tests" template or our "Select tests for monitoring" template.
For most of these investigations, the system can accurately pick up whether or not they have been done. For Ultrasounds and X-rays though this is more difficult due to the various different areas of the body these are done for, and how they are recorded when they are added to SystmOne. These patients will need reviewing to check if the investigation done was related to the original request, or something else.
For example, a GP requests an abdominal Ultrasound in 1 year. It is possible the same patient after 1 year may have an ultrasound of their leg for another issue. It may be that both of these results in the patient record would be recorded with a generic Ultrasound read code, or letter type.
If a patient has not had an X-ray or Ultrasound in that timeframe, they will appear in the Referral Due reports. However, if they have had some form of Ultrasound or X-ray in the requested timeframe, they will appear in the below highlighted reports found in Welby Innovate Recall - 3 Other

We have developed a page on our "Code results" template to help you review if the relevant requested US or X-ray has been done. If you do not have this template on your toolbar it can be accessed via any of our other templates on the sidebar. Alternatively, you can hit F12 on your keyboard, search code results and choose the template.

Once the Code Results template is open, proceed to the Investigations page.

This template on the left hand side will show information relating to the original request, as well as information pulled from the record showing possible X-rays or Ultrasounds done since (read codes, letter entries, free text entries relating to both)
Please note: this is to help in assisting you review these patients, however you may need to come out of the template to look around further in the record.
You can then use this information to code if the referral has been done as it is still outstanding (the X-ray or US that has been done is not for the same investigation that was originally requested) or you can code the investigation has been completed, and the date of which it was done. Both options will remove the patient from the report to review.
