Yesterday we went through recent pathology changes. This is a link to the recording

The key thing to look out for is clinical reports marked “***NEW***”. Some won’t apply unless you opt into the new options and all the details are in the article and/or recording.
A couple of other matters while I’m here…
- UKMEC changes – significant updates have just been published. We are reviewing the changes and will update our systems as needed. We hope to make these changes by early January but until then, they will still be working to the old UKMEC criteria.
- Childhood Imms changes – these take effect from 1 Jan, and we’ll be changing our childhood imms invites to reflect this change
- Guidance regarding HCAs consenting for vaccines/injections – we’re very aware of this guidance and are considering various options to support practices. We aim to develop processes that enable consent without requiring a conversation between a registered healthcare professional and each patient. We’re awaiting further clarification before proceeding with these developments.
