For specific reviews, such as Asthma, Diabetes, Dementia, etc, these buttons on the Recall Overview launch a protocol to determine which template should be used for each practice:
The default is to use Ardens if the practice has access to it or a System-wide template if not.
Many practices will have their own local templates or templates that are available to them but not nationally. If desired, we've developed a way of making these buttons work specifically for each practice.
How to set up the use of local templates
- Navigate to Protocols in SystmOne and go to the category Welby Innovate / Launch template.
- Find the protocol for the template you want to setup. It will have the word "Local" in the title:
- Copy the protocol and change "Local 2" to your practice in the protocol name
- Under the design tab, delete the Information box:
- Replace it with the local template you want to trigger and select the option "Allow protocol to continue":
- The protocol should look something like this:
- Click "OK", go to unpublished protocols and publish your new protocol locally or to your organisation group if you're doing this for a PCN or a group of practices
- Repeat for all the templates you need this for
- Inform us of all the templates you've configured to work this way. NB: your new protocols won't do anything until we change your setup. Once this is done, you can test the Recall Overview to check the correct template now appears.
While this feature is primarily used for the buttons on the Recall Overview, other parts of the system launch non-Welby Innovate templates. If you want to launch a local version for a particular template but there is no "Local" protocol version, let us know, and we can develop this for you.
