Setting appointment flags in SystmOne is an essential step in optimising your system. By categorising appointments with appropriate flags, you enable the system to efficiently manage patient recalls and invitations.
1) Navigate to slot types on system setup:
2) Assign Flags to slots
Appointment flags can be reported on and used by our systems to identify the patients who have already booked an appointment and those who need invites.
If a slot type is always used for any of the following, it should have the corresponding flag assigned:
- Annual Review Flag: Apply this flag to annual review slots (will exclude patients from annual review invites)
- Blood Test Flag: Assign this flag to slots designated for blood tests (will exclude patients from monitoring invites)
- Follow up Flag: Assign to appointments that are for follow up (will exclude patients from follow up invites)
- Injection Flag: Assign to slots for vacs and imms (used by the Prescribing Module)
- Medication review Flag: Use this flag for slots intended for medication reviews (used by the Prescribing Module)
Select each slot types that needs a flag applying and click "Amend Slot Type":
Select the appropriate flags and click "Ok":
Check that all slot types have the correct flags assigned and then click "OK" on the Slot Types window to save the changes.
