There are various reasons why you might want to bulk add regular monitoring to patients...
- You're transferring from an old system and want to add regular patient specific monitoring such as 6 monthly PSA
- You would like to add additional monitoring for a particular condition or medication
We've built some reports that identify common things that we don't include by default, but some practices would like to add in:
If what you're after isn't here, you could drop us a request to add it, or build it yourself to meet your requirements. Here's how to do it yourself:
1) Identify Codes to Add
In a test patient, or on one patient configure the monitoring as you would like it setting up, e.g.
In the journal, you can then see the codes that trigger this monitoring:
2) Identify patients to add them to
You may already have your patient list. Alternatively, you may want to identify a group of patients who don't have particular monitoring. You could take one of our reports as a starting point, and copy it to create your own report.
3) Bulk add the codes to your patients
Just make sure you do it at roughly the same time as the system relies on multiple codes being added at the same time. You can check its worked by retrieving a patient and you should see the test under the reasons for monitoring:
You might want to create a batch report to add the monitoring for patients in the future with that diagnosis or medication.
