General Updates

• Sidebar - You may have noticed we’ve updated the buttons at the side of all our templates. • Reasonable Adjustments - Of note in those new buttons is our “Reasonable Adjustments Digital Flag” template. • Code Blood Results – we’ve also developed a template you can use for quick coding of blood test results so you can see on one screen, the tests that are needed, and code results from hospital letters

Prescribing Module

• Flu / Covid / RSV campaign - Our reports, protocols and template are now live and ready to go for flu / covid (if you’re doing that in your practice) and RSV. The system will work if you have access to the prescribing module. If you want prompts to book vaccinations, including adding to the Green “A” prompt, let us know…

• Whether you want it for flu and/or RSV
• Whether you are doing covid vaccines at the same time
• Combined Hormonal Contraception Questionnaire – following positive feedback on the POP questionnaire, we’ve created a different version for CHC. If the questionnaire is completed, we’ve got a BP and BMI, and the patient isn’t in UKMEC 3 or 4, it will show the CHC review as complete. There are also reports that flag those who appear to be UKMEC 3 or 4. The questionnaire also directs patients if they need to arrange follow up.

Recall Module

• COPD Review Questionnaire – there’s now a COPD questionnaire that can be sent prior to annual reviews. If you’d like to look at using this to potential enable shorter / more simple COPD review appointments, let us know.
• Monitoring new medication – you may have noticed some new pop ups appearing when you start patients on medication, e.g:

This approach has several advantages:

• It can trigger when a patient starts with an acute
• It can sometimes pick up dose changes
• It gives you more control over what monitoring a patient has without requiring lots of clicks

We plan to move to this approach for anti-hypertensives and thyroxine. Currently, the system looks for tests done after they’ve been started on repeat but we realise that isn’t always appropriate as a patient may have acutes for a few months first. Do let us know if there are other medications this would be useful for. Statins we think still work best with repeats as they’re less often put on acute.

• Appointment Booking Guidance – this now records in the notes the appointment(s) staff have been advised to book
• Recall Overview – we’ve added additional information to display quickly why a patient needs a monitoring appointment in a more patient-friendly way, e.g.:

• New options to reduce appointments / bloods – couple of new options available:
  • For patients with Hypertension that’s not treated - their review can be completed if just a BP has been done
  • For patients needing a cardiovascular review - If a patient has had a BP on target in the current QOF year, or a recent one, the system can just invite them for bloods
  • There’s also an option to only do bloods at annual review if they haven’t been done in the last 5.5m (default is last 2.5m)

Pathology Module

• BP Target – you can now configure personalised BP targets that the system will work to instead of NICE
